Normal value of blood is different according to individual, race, age, sex, time of sampling and method, so it is important to establish authentic normal hematological value in Korea.
Author studied for obtaining of normal value of white cell cout, red cell count, hemoglobin, hematocrit, mean corpuscular volume, mean corpuscular hemoglobin, mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration and red cell distribution with Coulter Counter Model S-plus in healthy Koreans.
The results were as follow:
1. Normal value of white cell count is 6.7±1.8x109/1
2. Normal vlaue of red cell count is 4.73±0.5x1012 /1
3. Normal value of hemoglobin is 14.7±1.7g/dl
4. Normal value of hematocrit is 43.4±5.0%
5. Normal value of mean conpusular volume is 919±4.38
6. Normal value of mean conpusulcar hemoglobin is 31.1 ±1 Spg/cell
7. Normal value of mean conpusucular hemoglobin concentration is 33.8±0.6g/dl RBCS
8. Normal value of red cell distribution width is 9.8±1.5
